Healthy buildings that don’t cost the Earth.

Net Zero Design is a Sustainable Building Design practice and -consultancy based in Brisbane, specialising in holistic sustainable-, healthy building- and modular design. We work collaboratively with likeminded clients, consultants and builders throughout all project stages to create integrated, practical sustainability solutions that are inspiring and comfortable places to live in, cost-effective and future-proof.

Holistic sustainability

Holistic
sustainability

Environmental, social & economic factors are interconnected. Our triple bottom line approach is at the core of every project to maximise value upfront and throughout the whole lifecycle.
This requires balancing project specific factors such as functional, aesthetic and environmental considerations from the start where the design direction and up to 90% of costs are determined.

Healthy living

Healthy
living

Good air quality, thermal comfort and  moisture control in the building as well as connection with nature greatly increase health and wellbeing. We specify natural/low-zero toxic materials and apply building biology principles
for clients with special health requirements but believe healthy design and construction should be the standard for every building.

Modular design

Modular
design

Modular design and prefabrication offer a range of benefits such as a high level of flexibility, adaptability for future changes, quality- and cost control. The outcome doesn’t have to be repetitive, it can be very creative. Our modular custom designs are efficient in planning and construction, embrace the unique features of each site and are easily personalised to suit your brief and budget.

Projects

To date our projects have included residential renovations/extensions, new custom homes, education- and master planning projects. We welcome collaboration and are open to work on any project that aligns with out values and philosophy. Selected examples are:
